The Idea

It all started when I saw the “You Were Never Really Here” movie.

After that, the creative process consisted of watching it repeatedly, trying to create an impressive video capable of transmitting what it made me feel.

Once I have created that idea in my head, I start to make cuts in the video and look for references as to the style I want to use.

In this case I mainly used Adobe Premiere, as I wanted to keep the visual essence of the film.

But at the same time, I put a lot of emphasis on the tempo of the film, playing with both the shots and the story that it conveys with almost no dialogue.

The sound

As I mentioned earlier, the sound was the big star of the video editing and I made sure all the sounds were copyright free, including the closing song, an unbeatable Radiohead cover.

This cover was made by Masi, who gave me her permission to use it in the video, so I would like to leave you his original video here so you can see all her talent.

The Idea

With the idea in mind of the god Abraxas, which I met several years ago when reading the novel "Demian" by Hermann Hesse, this project was developed by collecting videos from the Internet to create a new work from already existing material.

As a message, we seek to see a more spiritual vision that is far from conventional regarding war and man. All from the view of Demian, who has lost his brother in the war, and Abraxas, the God who hears his sobs and decides to start a conversation with the boy.

In this case I mainly used Davinci Resolve, as I wanted to keep the visual essence of the film.

This time, the process was somewhat rushed due to the delivery date being just a few days away. However, the work flowed with the central idea being the driving force that allowed for a pleasant job to do.
